I'm Rafa — a Brazilian-Australian computer scientist, and the founder of runibi Labs.

I did my PhD at the University of Adelaide and the Australian Centre for Excellence in Robotic Vision. I've been tweaking, tinkering, and training AI models that operate robots since before it was a trend. Then I spent almost two years leading child safety at TikTok for over a billion users — watching what happens when a system built without safety in mind meets real people at real scale.

I came back to robots with one question: what would it look like to build them the right way from the start? runibi is that answer.
